A HUNDRED LIKES

My friend died today.

I have lots of friends,

so the book says.

A posted death,

Fed and forgotten.

Noticed despite

a feed so trodden.

A breathing body,

Now digital fodder,

Liked and devoured,

by friendly marauders.

I fear the book

when I reach the end.

I have lots of friends,

so the book says.
